Elgar the Excessive

Elgar is a 92‑year‑old Junior Apprentice Maroon Wizard. Unconventional magic—and the strange possibilities it unlocks—fascinates him. Despite his age, he maintains a surprisingly nimble physique and an equally sharp mind.

He carries remarkably few belongings and has little interest in fame or material wealth. Social interaction, however, is not his strong suit. Elgar struggles to relate to others… yet he will happily share his passions for knowledge, science, wildlife, and countless curiosities—at length—with anyone patient enough to keep listening.
